I don't support is still available for the KennelSuite primarily because the developers are no longer in the business. There are remains of their data (company name, a former phone, and the work area) but that's pretty much about it. No official links or contact addresses were found after I've searched on the very few pages left on Google.
Given this situation, I must say that KennelSuite is now a discontinued product that doesn't have a new release date.
The reason why this is happening is because the newer version of the software doesn't support the old one. Don't try to open the folders or the content directly. Use another approach like Import. Start KennelSuite IX then go to File > Import or look for this option in the main menu and use that instead to open the folder. It might or might not work.
If it doesn't work, then compatibility is the problem here. You should know that not all apps support opening previous files.
I have used Kennel Suite for the last 5 years. I know it is no longer in business, but I had to have a new hard drive put in my computer and need to reinstall it. How do I do this?

Unfortunately, the program has an overview function that is only for 2 weeks. There is no way to view all the appointments in a month. The 2-Weeks Overview can be accessed by going to Quick Look > 2-Weeks Overview.
This program and its paid subscription has been cancelled since 2011, you'd better use some modern alternatives.

I have been running Kennel Suite for 7 years, how do we purge to make the file smaller?
Consider using CCleaner to wipe old and unnecessary files from you PC.
